View Premier license: which server VMs can run ?

Hello,

I have not clear which and how many server VMs can run with View Premier Bundle license.

I know that  View Manager server vm is permitted to run, but if I want to have vCenter and one Domain Controller on my vmware infrastructure, can I buy only the view bundle, or in this case I have a mixed environment, and is required to have "normal" vSphere (in any of available packages) plus the View Add-on LTUs ?

thanks in advance

Regads,

Davide

I've always thought this was a little ambiguous and my interpretation was only infrastructure related to View which would include View Connection Brokers, vCenter dedicated to View, etc.

I have seen some people actually reference that they feel it's ok to include a domain controller or two that is servicing the VDI environment but I would clear that through VMware's licensing team.

Unfortunately DC's are not included in " .. components that make up the virtualized desktop infrastructure ... " (see http://www.vmware.com/files/pdf/view/VMware-View-FAQ-Pricing-Licensing-and-Support.pdf). Personally I'd like to see VMware change their mind regarding DCs, even if DCs were restricted to only run the domain controller role (no file services, etc.)
