I´m looking for a Anti-Virus Compatibility List for vShield Endpoint.

Is there a Endpoint list with all supported AV solutions?

Trendmicro will supposedly be the 1st one out the door for this. We are currently looking at it.

Yesterday I talked to a local (Brazil) McAfee System Engineer and he told and sent me a link about MOVE (http://www.mcafee.com/us/enterprise/products/virtualization_security/move_antivirus.html)

But, far as I could understand MOVE needs installation of an agent inside virtual machine. And TrendMicro solution dont need it.

Am I right about need of the agent?

Any update on this topic? I saw few announcements from Symantec, Kaspersky but sees there is nothing out yet. Only "vShield compatible solutions I've seen are from Trendmicro and Bitdefender

I didnt know about bitdefender... actually I never used it. How it works?

I do not know. We are at the phase of choosing the solution. We used Kaspersky for normal desktops but yesterday i talked with their support and what they told me is that at the moment they are holding up as they think that "vShield interface is not fast enough" so they do not see any benefit for this (vmsafe/vshield endpoint) approach. They of course forget about the need to manage just one agent instead of 500...

Trendmicro solution does not support vShpere 5 as of yet (the version that supports it is in beta though). As for Bitdefender all I know is that it exist . If you`ll get more info let me know.

I still use either McAfee and Trend micro. Both of them works the best for me so far. Not sure if there is any compatibility list available online.
