Maybe it's caused by multiple instances of server type, such Apache, JBoss, etc., where two or more of each instance have the same configuration properties discovered.

did you have any platforms in your autodiscovery portlet before you ran the upgrade ?
Did you look after the agent.log on the Agent you are trying to import ?
What happens if you clear the autoinventory queue (Administration -> HQ Health -> Database -> Action: Purge AIQ Data) and run the Agent setup again ?
That seems to have done the trick.
Why don't they discuss that in the detailed upgrade instructions for the agent (chuckle)?
Does anyone know if they have a more detailed instructions list for upgrading the agent. I copied the contents of the agent zip file, like the instructions said, over a copy of the existing agent but it now seems that there are extra files that confuse people trying to administer this agent.
