Cisco IOS Platform error

When adding a new device to Hyperic HQ E, 4.0.2-EE (build #939) using the Cisco IOS platform I get: The configuration has not been set for this resource due to : Invalid configuration: Invalid request: 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.48.1.1.1.6.2: noSuchInstance

Review of Cisco's OID I found 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.48.1.1.6 is the end of the tree - any help? Can not monitor this device.

Hi,

did you check it by run a snmpwalk on your device, grepping for that OID ?

Cheers,

Hello Mirko,

Have read a number of your responses, was hoping you would reply! Thank you.

I do not have snmpwalk installed on this system (restricted access to/from this server). However, in looking at Cisco's own OID definitions they only define to the .6 We are running the latest IOS for the Cisco 4900's we use. Just find it odd that I seem to be the only one having an issue with a Cisco device.

I was having the same problem.
I changed the SNMP Version from v2c to v1 and it worked.

Hope this helps

Since I marked this as answered I'm not sure I'll get a response, but the v1 MIB's will not report accurate Gigabit Ethernet counters - so am I now going to get a load of useless data?
