Automatic restart of services

Hello,

I would like to know of there is any way or plugin to automatically restart servers/services when certain conditions are met. For example when a process is running low on memory etc.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply,

The feature comparison chart says both versions support "Automatic Corrective Actions for Alert Responses" and that's the main reason I even tried Hyperic.

http://www.hyperic.com/products/tomcat-monitoring.html also states "Control all your Tomcat resources on-demand, on schedule, or in response to alerts"

So I guess I shouldn't take them both too literally?

Mirko,

As per the link you posted "Automatic Corrective Actions for Alert
Responses" is available in the Open source version. Is it available in
ver 3.2.3 ? If it is, is there any documentation on how to use this feature?

Thanks,
Sylvester

http://www.hyperic.com/demo/tutorials/control-action.html indeed explains that control actions are part of the enterprise version. Guess I'll need to upgrade 🙂
