Proxy.pac settings in View Client

We have a need to use some machines on a site where Internet access is set up using a proxy.pac script. Currently our clients ignore this setting and don't connect. I have seen that in the GPO for 4.6 there is a setting to allow pac settingsto be recognised.

As we will not be able to use GPOs for these machines has anyone extracted this setting to a reg key so that it can be deployed independently? We can load the 4.6 client on these client machines, the servers are currently 4.5

Well the key is:

The registry setting is not in the Policies folder and there is a period character on the end of VMWare, Inc.

It is

HKLM\SOFTWARE\VMware, Inc.\VMware VDM\Client\
