If you have problems connecting to View brokers with self-signed or invalid certificates you can turn off the certificate-checking in Settings - VMware View - Allow the unverifiable connection.

Has the ability to save password been removed? Now it prompts me every time I login.

Automatic single sign-on feature is a must, is there a way to turn it on or get it back?

I'm trying to install a software token but I always get an "invalid ctf string" and it seems that the client did not even try to get to the URL of rsa server to activate the token.

I've tried with the complete activation URL or with the Service URL with manual activation code.

What I'm doing wrong?

There some kind of limitation or restrictionon the use?

Thanks for removing the "Save password" feature!  Much needed in healthcare.

Your best bet is to construct a URL of the form:

viewclient-securid://ctf?ctfData=

If you click on one of these URLs (with your data appended, of course), it will automatically launch the View client and configure the token generator.

You can also use either of these formats:

com.rsa.securid.iphone://ctf?ctfData=
com.rsa.securid://ctf?ctfData=

But then you will need to copy/paste into the client. Attempt a connection broker, and then in the RSA SecurID token entry form, click on the field that says "External", then "Add new software token", then paste into the URL.

Hi Jim thanks for the answer, I was just putting the complete URL I was receiving that starts with https://server name:port number/....etc but it was not working... So I should put that

viewclient-securid://ctf?ctfData=

In  front of the URL?
Any document that explain how to do it?

You need to follow the instructions to create a valid URL for configuration of the RSA SecurID iOS app, but then change 'com.rsa.securid.iphone://ctf?' to 'viewclient-securid://ctf?ctfData='. In other words, if you can configure the RSA SecurID iOS app using a com.rsa.securid.iphone URL, then the corresponding viewclient-securid URL should work with the View client.

Thanks Jim, I've found the documentation and it worked very well.

The software token inside view is great and with the fact that now the password cannot be saved it's really great.

Is there a way to control this from the server side and allow passwords to be saved for some users? or how do we simply turn it back on if we want to?

I just figured out this whole process and documented everything here, in case someone still needs it:
