vCenter Alarm - Virtualized vCenter

We continue to get these alarms and I believe I read somewhere here that it is a bug and they aren't something to worry about because nothing is happening to our vCenter server and it is a split second thing and goes back to green before I can even see it.  I can't seem to find the alarm definition to disable it or change the notification.  Any suggestions?

"Target: Datacenters
Stateless event alarm

Alarm Definition:
([Event alarm expression: Status change])

Event details:
VC03 (vCenter) status changed from green to yellow"

We get these about 1-5 times a day.

Thanks

Hey Kyle,

Try disabling the "Health Status Changed Alarm" at the vCenter (root) level and then enabling it again. That should clear it up.

Good Luck!

Unfortunatly this did not clear up the alarm.  But it may be an actual alarm because the vCenter service has stopped twice this week.

I was able to find what was turning yellow and triggering the alarm. It was the Storage Management Service - Warning - provider sync in progress.

What is that?

the Storage Management Service is controlled by the vCenter Managment WebServices.  Maybe it's a tomcat issue? You could try increasing the Maximum Memory Pool... However, I don't know if it will resolve your problem.
