License not available to perform this operation while adding ESXi5 host

Hi Guys,

It's late and I'm tired so hopefully someone can help me on this so I can sleep tonight.  I'm jus finishing building my home lab and trying a add my final server to vCenter.  I currently already have one added but when attempting to add another one I get the following error message:

The Evaluation Mode license assigned to Host esxi5-01.domain.local has expired. Recommend updating the license.

Now the host I'm trying to add was built a few weeks ago and well within the 60 days evaluation as per the images below.

Any ideas?

thanks

Michael

Before anyone asks I've tried adding via it's IP address and still the same error message.  Since attempting to add this host I've been able to successfully add other hosts.

Worse case scenario is I'll just rebuilt it but would like to find out the cause.

Thanks

Michael

Did you install the host with a wrong date/time setting?

The screen shot shows "Expires: 21/11/2011" and you said the host was installed a few weeks ago!? However, according to the expiration date, the installation date was today (21/11/2011 - 60 days = 22/09/2011)!

Sorry.  Meant to say my old server was installed a few weeks ago.  Argh too tired.

Anyways, I think I've found the answer.  The IP address I gave my new hardware is also the same IP address my old server is using for iSCSI.  I think it was lucky that everytime I connected to the address via the vSphere client I was connecting to the correct server.

I'm waiting for this sVmotion to complete then I'll change the iSCSI address.

Thanks for reading and taking you time to post.

Unfortunately that never resolved the problem.

So both hosts are within the 60 days license as they were built a few days ago.  My old host which I am migrating from was build with vSphere 5 a few weeks ago.  I've change the iSCSI IP address from the old host to something completely different and still get the same address when adding it to vCenter.

Any other ideas?
