I was wondering how to get vmware Workstation working with 1600x900 in fullscreen on 1600x900 laptops. As everybody knows the graphics driver can work with every resolution but when opening the windows 7 screen resolution list 1600x900 is missing. Is there a way or a place where this list can be modified or enhanced?
Installing a specific monitor with this resolution (this can be done with installing a EDID overriding monitor inf) leads to nothing. I also tried to hack the monitor.inf but no look.
