Using VMware Update Manager to Patch Offline Windows 2008 r2 Cluster Nodes

Anyone have any experience of Using VMware Update Manager to Patch  Offline Windows Cluster Nodes?  I am curious to see if there are any complexities associated with this as we are looking to do this in an offline DR scenario.

Hi Colin,

As far as I know VUM doesn't support Win2k8r2 Guest OS patching, take have a look on link below, page 17

Besides, VUM in vSphere 4.X is the last version with guest OS patch management functionality, starting from vSphere 5 VUM will support only ESX/ESXi patch management.
