Vmware won't install

Hi forum,

I am running Windows 7 Pro 64bit.

In the past ive had problems with vmware so i removed it.

I now have download the latest version workstation 7.1.3-324285.

When i click on it it loads the box but it stays grey. (Picture attached)

Has anyone run into this problem and is there any way around it. Ihave also tried the vmware cleanup to as well.

I also let it run for a good 12 hours with it still being the same

Thanks

Joseph

If you read the log file it says "CHtmlDialog::CallJScript: Failed to obtain required required jscript ID; COM Error: -2147352570"

I followed all your steps and the vmware cleanup steps inclueding the manual steps

the last line of the log states the following error

20101216094933:ERROR** CHtmlDialog::CallJScript: Failed to obtain required required jscript ID; COM Error: -2147352570

which can also be resolved by following instructions in the below KB article

try to extract the setup with /e wsinstall
best from a short path such as C:\ws7\
then open the msi in the new directory
