Used VMFS volume didn't appers

Hello all,

I have two stand alones ESXs servers 3.0.1 and will update their ESXs to 3.5.5, but first I need to configure this two ESX to see all VMFS, to be possible made VMotion in my environment.

I ask for my SAN admin to delivery all VMFS for my two ESX servers, but a problem happens, I see the volumes but that volumes didn't mount automatically. I check the volumes address for this disks and is the same in my two ESX servers.

I need to check one more thing? I forgot anything, any step?

Thanks

Did you run a rescan on the HBA yet?

Did you check the logfiles for any error messages (/var/log/messages)?

Yes! I perform rescan, the volumes appers in the list and have the same address in two ESX. I see the volume in disks list but I can't see the VMFS volume.

Ok, this answers the first question. What about the logs?

Btw. it's not the messages log (as mentioned in my previous pot), it's the vmkernel log which may help troubleshooting. (see e.g. http://kb.vmware.com/kb/6482648)
