The storage requirements are the same, with one one difference, if you have two crossed SAN using ASM replication, you can instruct RAC to read on each SAN instead of going to the master site (yes, RAC has a master…). The problem will be the interconnect network linking both sites… The line should be a low latency DWDM. They keystone for extended RAC is not related to storage, is the line for the interconnect.
