Determining a new Porcessor

Does anyone know where or how to determine what newer processors will work with our older processors with vmotion?

We have 8 hosts all running Intel Xeon E5530 quad core cpu's.  I'm trying to spec out 2 new hosts with newer (6 core) processors.

Any ideas how to choose the correct processors that will work with our older ones ?

You will probably have to enable EVC to be compatible.  You can get an understanding of the compatibility matrix below
