When enabling the iSCSI client in ESX 4.x the firewall settings in the Service Console is automatically updated to allow outgoing connections to iSCSI (tcp/3260). This seems fine, until we realize that all iSCSI traffic is done through a Vmkernel VMKNIC and not at all with the Service Console in ESX 4.x.
So, is there any use for this firewall setting or is it a leftover from 3.x?
