Unable to start the Virtual Center server serivice. It fails and the vpxd log file shows error "ODBC error: (28000) - [Microsoft][SQL Native Client][SQL Server]Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM'"

Was there any changes made to the vCenter Database.

The Error you are encountering is usually because of a mismatch between the user staring the the vCenter Server Service and the one that is configured in the ODBC connection of the database.

If this has been working before and just became a problem, I bet the account you used to set up the ODBC just had its password expire. 

If this is part of a new implementation, you likely have a bad username or password in the ODBC setup.
