VDI ESX Host Issue

I am currently having an issue creating linked-clone VMs on 1 of my 2 ESX servers in my cluster. The one ESX server that I can create such VMs is using ESXi version. The other ESX server is the full blown ESX version that I am getting the below error message:

Unexpected VC fault from View Composer (HostCommunication): see event log for full error

(The HW for these servers are HP C-Class blades. One is actually a G6 and the one that has issues is a G7)

Looking at the event viewer of the composer/vcenter reveals nothing.

Thanks in advance...Scott

Are you using a shared storage which is accessible from both esx/i hosts for storing parent vm and deploying pools?

Yes, both ESX servers see the shared datastore for the linked clones.

Maybee you check the log entry on the Event/Tasks of the Host. And also get sure that both servers have compatible CPU models. In our case we also have G6/G7 servers but with the same CPU-Family

Did you notice any error on VC console when this error was reported on view admin ui?
