VIEW Security Server & Windows 2008 R2 + NAT

We found that enabling RRAS with NAT on a Security Server (4.6.0) on a 2008 R2 x64 VM halts all network traffic on both interfaces after a few minutes. You can still access the machine from the console, but cannot ping anything other than itself. Disabling RRAS solved the issue. I didn't find anywhere stated that the SS is incompatible with RRAS NAT. Has anyone had any simlar problems?

Are you using vmxnet3 adapter for this VM? if yes, then this could be related to a problem disscused in http://communities.vmware.com/message/1674792?tstart=0

Try changing the adapter to e1000

Let me know what your results is form changing your NIC driver on your SS. I will try this as well since my internal VDI connections seem to connect each and everytime. However, my external connections have intermittent connectivity issues since it goes through the SS first.

By any chance, are you guys using a hardware load balancer? I am in the process of configuring our Cisco ACE(Application Control Engine) appliance to utilize a VIP with two SS behind the VIP.

Thanks, Scott
