Quickest way to add Netapp NFS datastores?

We are upgrading several IBM x3850 servers from ESX 4.0 to ESXi 4.1 - We are doing a clean install and upgrade so after recreating all our networking and VLANs, we have to tackle adding our dozens of FC and NFS datastores from Netapp.

The FC portion is easy as we can just add those iniators to the group and rescan.. but NFS, is a whole different story.  Is there a way to add those NFS datastores without having to recreate everyone one on every single host?

Thanks in advance --

the steps should be almost the same like FC just that you need to define the IP. http://wingloon.com/2009/02/12/adding-nfs-storage-to-vmware-esx-server-3i-350/

Hello.

You are likely going to be looking at a scripted solution for this.  There have been some discussions around this in the past.

Good Luck!

I am actually going the host profile route to get the NFS datastores over to new hosts.

It's a great theory but applying profiles to completely different hosts hardware wise is a pain at best when it comes to networking.  I have tried editing the .VPF files that you can export manually but it is a bit of a pain..
