nested vm's on vm player

I am trying to run a nested vm(linux appliance) on a win XP vm that resides on a vshphere 4.1 host. When i try to start the nested vm I get this error.

running vmware player in a virtual machine requires the outer virtual machine to be configured

anyone have any idea how i can change the configuration file as shown in this article

You'll have to edit the configuration settings of the Windows VM.

Under Options: Advanced -> General -> Configuration Parameters, add

monitor.restrict_backdoor = "TRUE"

I added this file and it still does not work. are there any other lines that need to be added or changed perhaps?

Oops.  That should have been:

monitor_control.restrict_backdoor = "TRUE"

You also need to make sure that the Windows VM is running with hardware virtualization.  On the 'Processors' settings screen, select preferred execution mode of "VT-x or AMD-V" or "VT-x/EPT or AMD-V/RVI", as appropriate for your platform.
