Snapshots causing drives to disconnect

I have a VM that when it has a snapshot taken has its non-OS drives disconnect and loose their drive letters. The VM is Windows server 2008 32 bit and it is running in a vSphere 4.1 update 1 environment. Has any one else noticied this before or where can I start looking to track down why this is occuring.

check vmware.log file for the vm.

also u can commit snapshots if they r actually causing the issues

First check the log files indeed, secondly have you filed a support call? Might be worth having GSS looking into as this shouldn't be happening.
