Removing ghost storage LUN

Over the weekend we added some storage to our SAN and in our testing to make sure everything was working correctly we created a logical drive and attached it to our ESX hosts.  The logical drive worked but wasn't the correct size that I wanted to deploy the new storage.  Before it was removed from the hosts, it was deleted on the SAN level.  Now when I go into re-adding the correct LUN size in, and giving it the same name it says there is already a object that has that name.   Is there a way for me to clean out that old lun->name association easily?

Take a look at http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1026661. Maybe this helps resolve the issue.

Thanks for the KB, actually just rebooting the host the issue cleared up.

thanks for sharing, did not know that it could be as simple as a reboot only.
