I chose copy VMs when I should have chosen move

Hi -

I chose copy VMs when I should have chosen move.  I deleted the VMs from the VM menu but when I re-add them it doesn't give me the option to move, it just repopulated the VM.  What do I need to do to re-add them using move?  Thanks.

Welcome to the Community,

"I copied it" assigns new UUIDs as well as new MAC addresses to the VM. What you can do is to copy the vmx file from the source to the destination folder again.

please make sure u backup immediatley before u do any further step..any changes may cause loss of data....

also i would suggest u to manually perform the tasks on vmx files and then all vmdk files

I copied from the source DVD to the hard drive again.  When I chose open from the VMWare menu and navigate to the VMX and select, it just repopulates the VM without giving me the option to copy or move.  Am I doing something wrong?  Thanks.
