View 4.5 compatible with vsphere 4.1update1?

Hello!

Yesterday vsphere 4.1update1 was released. Is it compatitible with View 4.5? Could we upgrade to the new vsphere Version?

Better we should wait for subsequent View release with vSphere4.1 U1 support

Seems not yet.

I see only this KB related to the VMware Tools problem: http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1022830

I really wish every VMware upgrade didn't break something in View.   All the more reason to separate out the environment and just upgrade the View side whenever there is a new release.

Andre - Does that KB apply to View 4.5 though?

It always seems that with any U*#* release, View gets broken. What happened to the combined development cycle changes that were supposed to happen?

mittim12 - You are right....I starting to think about separateing the View environment....this is now the third (maybe fourth time?) that View has been broken with U updates. I know 4.6 is right around the corner, but they need to be closer together.

Right... this is only for View 4.0.

But a similar issue in VMware Tools exist also in View 4.5:

I've not tried yet...

The Windows update issue was enough Smiley Happy

I'm running view 4.5 with 4.1 update 1

the only bug that i found was when i was updating the VMware tools.

the services that allow remote printing breaks. it's a simple fix but it sucks

the TP AutoConnect Service changes from automatic to manual

the TP VC Gateway Service changes from automatic to manual.

the fix was to change it back from manual to automatic.
