Get DRS Recommentation history

Hi all,

Is there a way to get this history ?

In viclient, on can see only the current recommandations. But they are cleared very rapidly.

I didn't find a way using powercli

On the Virtual Center Server, I found the logs, but they are stored in a .gz file and it's not easy to read.

Do you have DRS in partially automated mode where you only see the recommendations or is this fully automated where vMotion actually occurs automatically?

How far back are you looking to go?  The vCenter database likely keeps a record of these for a while so you could comb through there.  If DRS is in fully automated mode, you could use a script like the vCheck script to see all the DRS migrations over the last several days (configurable).  Check out the vCheck script here - it's a great tool for getting a daily report on your vSphere environment.  http://www.virtu-al.net/featured-scripts/vcheck/
