Removing drivers CentOS 5.5 from P2V

Hi all,

i've just converted a physical CentOS 5.5 (Final) with vCenter Converter 4.2.0 to a VM and installed the VMware Tools on it, that works perfectly.

But i'm told to search for a way to uninstall the old drivers from CentOS, because it could be still using them instead of the VMware Tools.

I've never heard of that thing, and i'd like to know if  it's possible, and if there's a way to remove these drivers.

Thanks a lot.

After some researches, i've found nothing about it on the Net, but maybe i didn't look in the good place.

No one has ever heard of this?
