Oracle VM to VMware conversion

How to convert from Oracle VM format to VMware ESX? I found manual how to convert only from VMware to Oracle VM. So I used the same tool to convert disk:

#qemu-img convert -f raw file1.img -O vmdk file1.vmdk

1) Disk became IDE, and I don't know any tool that allows editing 4GB files.

2) Ok, I connected vmdk to Workstation - and see no partition table on disk.

What OS is the OracleVM if it is Windows then treat it as a phyiscal machine and use VMware Converter to convert it into VMware format.

Oracle VM - is Xen-based virtualization platform from Oracle. I have a couple of VM's in this format (i.e. virtual disks) and have no spare servers to install Oracle VM. Guest OS is Oracle Linux as far as I understood.

Main question is how to convert hard disk from this .img to .vmdk? Qemu-img didn't do it right way.

Do it live.. use VM Converter point to the RUNNING instance, don't convert the img file, convert it as a PHYSICAL machine, even though it's a VM.

no we didn't know that, thanks for the update.

Converting FROM another vendor product still is NOT a VM ware problem, even though there are alternatives like converting it as a LIVE VM.

Oracle is ALSO Redhat rebranded, just FYI
