vShield Endpoint thin-agent and 64-bit Client-OS support

Taken from http://www.vmware.com/pdf/vshield_41_quickstart.pdf page 27:

Make sure that the guest virtual machine has a supported version of Windows installed. Supported

versions of the Windows operating system for vShield Endpoint 1.0 are:

Windows Vista (32 bit)

Windows 7 (32 bit)

Windows XP (32 bit)

Windows 2003 (32/64 bit)

Windows 2008 (32/64 bit)

So 64-bit Windows 7 for example is not supported? I guess this is not an error in the documention, huh? A bit troubling.

Btw., did anyone here actually use vShield Endpoint with agentless AV yet? Since there doesn't seem to be a 3rd party AV product out yet. Deep Security, 7.5 with vShield Endpoint agentless AV is``coming soon''.

Sorry, but did you even bother to properly read my post and question at all?

I received word from our reseller that Trendmicros Deep Security 7.5 is going to be released next week. Let's hope it will be or otherwise, VMware has been selling a product (vShield Endpoint) that nobody could use for about 3 months.
