Can the default Promiscuous Mode be set to accept ?

Using lab Manager to run ESX VM's the need to set Promiscuous Mode to "accept" is obvious, but can it be set as the default value in ESX to ease deployments.. scripst are fine but as this is just a value of 0/1 it must be configurable somwhere... any unsupported hacks are welcome... Smiley Wink

I do not know Lab Manager, but do you mean how to enable the Promiscous mode on a ESX vSwitch through command line or similar?

Why by the way does it need the Promiscous feature?

to enable it is not the problem Smiley Wink

it's how to set the default value on all vswitches to accept.

reaso is that virtual esx on esx needs this to work, an when you deploy a lot of these virtual ones in lab manager who creates vswitches as needed , setting the different default value makes things a lot easier..

we use it for our vmware demo environment.

Finally ..here is the solution...

Great thanks to Heino for the persisten search.. which paid off..:smileycool:

Quiet simple actually, you just need to go into the "Über Administration Screen" also called Debug mode and select it....
