esx4i + kickstart

I just did some tests with a scripted installation. It works pretty good.

Everything works oke, except i don't want to press the a button to reboot.

Can i specify reboot option?

What deployment solution do you use?

Altiris? HP RDP?

I use EDA for all ESX 4.1 deployments but deployment of ESXi is not currently supported... Smiley Sad

We use WDS + IIS + MDT.

I copied pxelinux to our \Remote\install\boot directory. We use Winpe to autoconfigure the hardware and set the proper firmware versions on our hardware.

I created a tool that will generate all the kickstart files. We use this solution for many year. Even in the pre WDS time we used RIS.

EDIT: My first post was stupid, I had some bad luck when thinking...please let me rephrase my question:

When adding reboot under %post section, the commands (dns_set in my case) does not get set. Any ideas?

Running ESXi 4.1

Thanks!

Never mind, I had the order a bit messed up. I re-arranged the sections similar to this and it worked: http://communities.vmware.com/thread/278400

Tnx
