AMD Phenom II - VMware workstation and ESX 4

Normally I'd go an intel CPU base for my R&D environments but I've come across a good deal on some kit which contains the AMD Phenom II processor.

Does anyone know if a PC with this processor has the CPU facility to support running ESX under VMware workstation. I know Intel use something called Virtualisaton technology but not sure if AMD has an equivalent?

Yeah AMD have AMD-V tech. Should have no problems. Make sure you get lots of ram and still don't expect the performance to be steller.
