Need Script to update bulk VM annotations field

we are going to add an additional field to vCenter called “Backup” in addition to Annotations.

my questions is We want to put notes on Backup field in Annotations for Bulk VMs.

Can someone please help.

Again, it depends on the language and the SDK of choice ... this can be done using any of the available VMware SDK's

Here is an example using vSphere SDK for Perl -

I dont have any knowledge on scripting, can you please guide me how to run this script.

nearly i have 600 vms list in vmsname.txt copied in c:\

for above 600 vms I want to add notes in backup filed in annotations ...

Please help me.
