Hello,
I am building an infrastructure and I have a HP Proliant dl320g5p. What are the differences between a standard iso image and the iso costumized for HP?? I don't find the differences.
Moreover, when I build RAID1 the installation of VMware ESXi view 2 discs... How can it be solved??
Another problem I've experienced is that sometimes the Management Console service stops
Thanks.
Hi
check this post where you can learn some information about this topic.
And as OP commented you have to configure correctly the raid1 on the disk controller BIOS. Then the esxi should see just one logical raid1 disk volume.
BTW, what disk controller are you using?
Sometimes if the disk controller isn't really supported, just the physical disks are available to esxi, but not the raid1 volume.
I would recommend you to check the esx(i) compatibility guides to be sure your disk controller is supported.
Hope this helps

Hi,
the differents between this two images are only the HP Agents.
With the VMware Version there are no HP Agents for Hardware Monitoring installed.

1.The difference between the HP iso and standard iso provided by the vmware is the HPSIM monitoring agent which is in-build in the HP build iso image.
2. To resolve the issue with 2 disk, you need to create the logical volume from the RAID controller configuration through the BIOS.
