Unable to install vmware workstation 7 !

Hello,

I am not able to install the vmware workstation 7, i already have workstation 6.5 installed on my machine, when i tried to install vmware 7 it failed, so i tried to uninstall the vmware 6.5 using add/remove programs and tried to install the vmware 7 but again it failed with the error message. I have attached the error message. I am trying to install on windows vista home premium edition 32 bit.

Also provide the proper installation/upgrade and uninstallation guide for vmware, i have faced these kind of errors many times. It is bizzare that i am unable to edit the vmware registry, even as an administrator.

Hello,

I think You might have antivirus or some protection software that prevent the changes on your registry.

did you try installation, while its protection disabled or permitted the setup file to work on system registry?
