Regarding SDK for Perl

Hi,

I have an ESX 4.0 machine(server) and it is attached with SATA controller and storage drivers, i wanted to get the SATA controller information and storage information and this server is not connected in the network i am using stand alone machine, i wanted to use SDK perl scripts to retrieve the storage and controller information, But i don't know how to proceed with this, at present i am using the example scripts which is available in the VMware site getHostHardwareInfo.pl, but i am facing some error msg, which is pasted below. please suggest me the solution how to use the scripts and what are the necessary perl packages to be install in the ESX machine.

Thanks

As I've already mentioned in the other thread you posted in, the script is NOT meant to be executed on ESX or ESXi host. You need to install vCLI on either Windows or Linux system or use VMware's vMA virtual appliance which is a RHEL base.

Again, please take a look at the documentation for the script you're referring to: on how to setup and use the script.

If there is a language barrier, you may want to have someone translate what you're trying to do/accomplish and I'll try to help. Though spamming in multiple forums without answering any of my basic questions will not yield any results

Thanks
