hello Vmware,
Please help me to resolve vmware update issue.
we are running VMware Esx 3.5 to our Blade server and i would like to update from 3.5.0 to 3.5 update 5
i have download zip file from Vmware, I extracted and burn into CD, and run "esxupdate update" from our testing vmware machine. Before run this command i have shutdown all my guest OS.
this command run sucssefully and i was updating, but during update my server gave me pink screen and it's hang up, i restart my server and i run esxupdate command again. now it's give me a message all packages already installed.
now to confirm vmware has up to date, i run the command "vmware -v" and it shows Vmware 3.5.0
I have also run "cat /proc/vmware/version and it shows same Vmware 3.5.0
but when I have run esxupdae -l query
now it shows at the end esx350-update 5
new packages: vmware-vpxa-2.5.0-119598
I want to know whether our vmware has updated or not?
