Info on VMware DirectPath I/O?

I am having trouble finding definitive support information for this feature. Is this a supported feature or experimental? What are the device vendor and VMware supported devices which can be passed through to the VM?

Supported devices include the Intel 82598 10 Gigabit Ethernet controller and Broadcom

57710 and 57711 10 Gigabit Ethernet controllers. VMDirectPath is experimentally supported for storage I/O

devices with QLogic QLA25xx 8Gb Fibre Channel, Emulex LPe12000 8Gb Fibre Channel, and LSI 3442e‐R and

3801e (1068 chip based) 3Gb SAS adapters.
