Workstation 7: Teams + Bandwidth throttle = Not working

I've set up a team on Workstation 7 (Windows host).

I then throttled the bandwidthbak to 1.44 and.. well, everything seems to be running at full speed.

I have created a 100MB file from GUEST-A to GUEST-B and it takes the exact same amount of time, regardless of the setting I put in the team LAN segment.

Can anyone positively confirm this is working for VMW 7.0 Windows hosts?

What kind of log can I see what's going on (speed and latency wise) inside the team?

Thanks.

UPDATE.. I cannot wait. I filed a support ticket id with VMware: 1460577765. I will keep you posted as things progress.

How are you powering on the team? Are you powering on the VMs individually, or are you powering on either through the toolbar button or from the Team > Power > Power On menu item?

If you're powering on the VMs individually, then this a known (and sadly, longstanding) bug. See this thread:

Found that thread and tried it. It is still not working. (It was the way I was starting up...)

PS: It's been over 24 hours and I have not heard from anyone in support yet.

Try modifying your .vmx file in a text editor (the VM must be powered-off and closed before you do this) and adding the lines:

ethernet0.rxbw.limit = "28"
ethernet0.rxfi.droprate = "1000"

To control bandwidth/packet-loss on the rx side for ethernet0 (there are corresponding tx entries too if you want to do it on that side). The limit is in kbps and the packet droprate is in tenths of a percent.

I tried that too. No luck.
