Formatting an aligned RDM - what should i use as deafult allocation size when formatting?

Hi there,

I am just building two new VMs. I have added RDMs and i am going to use these as the data drives. I will use the following commands on the disk to align the partitions:

<span style="background-color: #ffffff" class="Apple-style-span">list disk select disk 1 create partition primary align=64 assign letter=D</span></span>

When i come to format the disk in windows what should i use as the Allocation Unit Size? I have previously build a few VMs and just left it on deafult. I have read a few things on the vmware site about using either 32k or 64k but I cannot find a definitive answer.

Thanks

Use 32K.
