Windows 2003 R2 Blue Screen

I have a Windows 2003 machine that is continually blue screening. It will run fine for several day, but then my developers report that the machine is not available, and I see the blue screen. Any information or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Windows 2003 Enterprise

vmware tools: ok

4cpu / 8gb ram

LSI Logic Parallel

SCSI Bus Sharing: None

4x HDs 40gb / 133gb / 250gb / 150gb - All disk are over 50% free.

have you checked

>%SystemRoot%\MEMORY.DMP

also, check event viewer, your guest may be losing access to it's disk. Is this guest in question running on Shared or Local Disk?

What else is running on the OS?

Was the VM a clean build as virtual or was it a P2V?

This was P2V.

After more research on this, It appears that users are RDP to this server, then connecting their local CD drives - at which point it appears the machine goes down. Maybe is related to the HD drivers on the VM?

SQL 2005 is on this machine.

I would ensure proper cleanup was done after the P2V. Ensure all hardware related software and drivers are not present. Make sure your VMware Tools are current.
