igb 1.3.19.15.2.1

Hi,

I have a Intel Gigabit ET Quad Port Network Adapter. I readed in the [compatibility Guide|http://www.vmware.com/resources/compatibility/search.php?action=search&deviceCategory=io&productId=1&advancedORbasic=advanced&maxDisplayRows=50&key=IntelGigabitETQuadPortServerAdapter&datePosted=-1&partnerId[]=-1&nports[]=-1&vid=&did=&svid=&ssid=&rorre=0], that this is Supported by ESX 3.5 Update 4. The notes say I will need "igb version 1.3.19.15.2.1" and I should download driver from "http://downloads.vmware.com/d/info/datacenter_downloads/vmware_infrastructure_3/3_5#drivers_tools"

But there is no driver. Can somebody help me ?

Thanks for the reply.

I have already tried this driver, but it does not work. The driver seems to be only for single-port cards.

Are you able to see messages containing "igb 0000:0a:00.0: The NVM Checksum Is Not Valid" in the /var/log/vmkernel.log file?

If so, note that the igb driver is prone to difficulty related to NVM checksum errors and that driver might work okay if you correct the NVM checksum issue.  At least one other user on this board has seen the NVM issue affect a limited number of ports on a multi-port card.

See this post for a potential solution (applicable to more than just the specific NIC discussed):

Re: Intel I350 NIC not working on ESXi 6.0 build-2715440

Not saying this is a relevant fix, particularly if the driver is not meant to support multi-port cards, but it might bear looking into.
