I am not sure if anyone else is experiancing this issue but its very similar to the WS2008 on ESX, the VM will install fine, login fine etc but the performance just degrades so much over time that it ends up performing like a Snail. I have tried W7 64Bit on Ubuntu 8.04, 8.10 and 9.04 with no change at all, WinXP 32 and 64 work fine, so does my Vista machine but i do not understand why WS7 is slow.
I dont think its a machine issue as i have 12gb, quad, dedicated gfx, sound and hardware raid5 across 4 disks. I have tried running just the w7 vm alone and still it grinds down to a halt, checking the vm resources from within w7 reports that there is free resources/ plenty in fact.
I have tried a mixture of ext3 and 4 but still no change, i have stripped the vm down but still not change.
I am wondering if its the enhanced 3D option but when i disable this the W7 will boot fine but then i get a blackscreen but it is still active in the background.
