Dell/Equallogic sata drives and failure?

I would like to hear from people who are currently using dell/equallogic and others using sata in a san. How often are you having to replace your sata drives because of failure?

I would be looking at the 500gb, 750gb, 1000gb drive size failures?

thansk,

We have two Equallogic chassis in production for a little over three years and have had to replace one drive in this time. No complaints about DellEQL service....definately one of our better vendors.

Constant firmware upgrades can kinda get a brotha down though.

One thing we did to make this easier was to just order a spare HD/carrier assembly with each SAN chassis so that when a failure did occur we weren't dependant upon waiting for a service tech to show up. We could pop the replacement drive in almost immediately and then just 'trade' the tech for the replacement part when they arrived onsite.
