ESXi 4.0 HP ML115 G5 no raid anymore.

Just installed version 4.0 in to a flash drive, and now the mirrored RAID I had setup from 3.5 is now not working ... why would they take out a driver?

Hi, you don't see the volumes created at the raid level? or just don't see any disk?

Verify that your controller is in HCL:

If it is you have to find the specific driver or in the installation CD, or on the VMware download site, or on HP support.

They now just show up as STD sata disks, where as before we were cooking on gas stright from boot no extras needed to be installed

Are you sure it worked 100% before? According to this article the disk is visible with RAID in ESXi 3.5 on ML115 G5 but when you replaced a disk in practice the data store was actually gone.

Any update on getting the onboard RAID1 working with ML110/115, or should I just buy HP Smart Array E200.

You need a HARDWARE RAID controller from the HCL. There is NO shortcut. Get the BBWC option.
