Problem with VMWare Workstation install on Ubuntu 9.1

I am a relative newby to both Linux (my new host of choice) an VMWare. I have, on other machines running UBUNTU 9.1, been successfull installing VMWW with the following:

paul@dm2:~/Desktop$ sudo sh VMware-Workstation-6.5.2-156735.x86_64.bundle

On one of my other machines, also running a freshly updated Ubuntu 9.1 I get the following:

VMware-Workstation-6.5.2-156735.x86_64.bundle: 1: Syntax error: redirection unexpected

Can someone point me in the right direciton on this?

If the VMware-Workstation-6.5.2-156735.x86_64.bundle is on your desktop, do this

~ /Desktop$ sudo chmod 755 VMware-Workstation-6.5.2-156735.x86_64.bundle

~ /Desktop$ sudo ./VMware-Workstation-6.5.2-156735.x86_64.bundle
