HP ML115 & NC1020

I have installed ESXi ver 4 on an ML115, 250GB SATA, 4GB RAM. It works fine, and I administer the host from an XP workstation, and installed a number of VMs.

I then installed a second network card (HP NC1020 which is on the I/O supported list), but ESX does not see the network card.

I tired a full re-install from scratch, but ESX still does not see the NIC.

Any ideas ?

Is that card supported in the ML115? Have you tried a different slot?

There is only one PCI slot in the machine.

I will check to HP compatability list.

You might want to check that the NIC can be recognized by ESXi - http://www.vm-help.com/esx40i/Hardware_support.php.

The NIC is not on the compatability list for 4.0

I will try another.
