Yeah I know its unsupported technically... however, I thought maybe someone here could help me a bit with me being new to VMware and all.
I have a XFX680i board with has the MCP61 Raid controller mentioned in this discussion here: http://communities.vmware.com/thread/126404
In RAID it can see the individual SATA HDD's (id: 037f) when I install it makes be select on drive from the array. After Selecting it the install moves forward and reboots then I get a Boot Error (thats all it says) I'm not sure where to go with it at this point any help is much appreciated.
The drivers that come with ESX(i) don't support software RAID arrays for controllers like the MCP controller you have.

Array: 2x SATA 250gb 7200RPM in RAID 0 Config is what I want to end up with.
update.... taking the SATA Disk' out of RAID and reinstalling allows me to boot in successfully.
