ESXi4.0 and FastTrak TX-4310

Hello,

I'm trying to install ESXi4.0 with combination

- Q9650 Core 2 Processor

- P5Q-E Motherboard

- FastTrak TX-4310 RAID Controller

- Intel PRO/1000PT Network adapter

- 2 x Samsung SATA drives

When I setup the RAID controller as RAID0 I still got two separated disk drives on installation of ESXi instead of one large.

I know I need to modify some oem.tgz, but how?

You are presented two different drives because this is not a "real" hardware RAID controller but more of a software RAID. I doubt that customizing the oem.tgz will get you any further.

However, you can have a look at this: http://vm-help.com/esx/esx3i/customize_oem_tgz.php

Ok if I choose one of the controllers shown here

I can get rid of this problem without changing any files on installation media?
