I can't see disk performance on all of my VMs

I've got a problem with my NAS and I know one of the 17 test VMs on there is running away with the disk and using a significant proportion of my NAS bandwidth.

I thought it would be easy to find out which one by using the VMWAre INfrastructure client performance tabs.

Not all of the VM machines though allow me to see disk utilisation. They all have memory and CPU but only one or two have disk.

Is the reason that I don;t have the Toolkit installed on the machines?

Is there any other way of seeing a VMs disk utilisation?

Thanks in advance

This problem is not coming from a lack of VMware Tools. The tools improve performance but do not assist performance monitoring.

I am not sure how to do this with the vSphere client (I am looking into this) but you can definitely see VM-specific storage traffic with the VM storage screen in esxtop. Hit 'v' to do this. More information is available here:

vscsiStats will also do this for you:
